  28. Okay... I'm not sure if this will help, but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth
  29. of comments.

  31. Not all c= drives are created equal.
  32. As you may know, Commodore continuly improved, modified the 1541/1571
  33. drives as they were selling them over the years.

  35. I've been using my diskettes on my 1571 in 1541 mode for a long time.
  36. Though my diskettes were formatted single sided, they did not work on my
  37. friend's 1541.  It kept getting disk errors, and sometimes "FILE NOT FOUND"
  38. as you say.  Some of the my disks worked on his 1541 while others didn't.

  40. However, after turning the 1541 on and off a couple times, and swapping
  41. between my diskettes and his diskettes into the 1541, it worked later.
