- Okay... I'm not sure if this will help, but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth
- of comments.

- Not all c= drives are created equal.
- As you may know, Commodore continuly improved, modified the 1541/1571
- drives as they were selling them over the years.

- I've been using my diskettes on my 1571 in 1541 mode for a long time.
- Though my diskettes were formatted single sided, they did not work on my
- friend's 1541. It kept getting disk errors, and sometimes "FILE NOT FOUND"
- as you say. Some of the my disks worked on his 1541 while others didn't.

- However, after turning the 1541 on and off a couple times, and swapping
- between my diskettes and his diskettes into the 1541, it worked later.
